Large Japanese Arita ware bowl.  Late Edo Period (1603-1868) blue and white scenic bowl with gold gilt outlines.  A lake scene with mountains in the background with herons swooping down.   Outside are mountains with gold gilt outlines.  Unmarked.

Large at 9 1/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches in height.  Good condition with no chips , cracks or damage. Some old firing marks on base and sides.  Bowl is uneven or not level at top .
