VINTAGE BLUE-BILL HEN DUCK DECOY: ONTARIO-D45. •Solid body wooden decoy.•Head is turned slightly to the right with brass tack eyes.•A rectangular lead weight is attached to the bottom for ballast, and an eye for the decoy line fastening.•I have had this particular decoy for well over 35 years now and for the life of me cannot remember where I laid claim to it. There are no distinguishing character markings making it difficult for me to figure who the carver might be. I do believe that it is possibly a Georgian Bay area decoy as I remember picking up a lot of decoys from that region.•Carver unknown.•Condition: There is a slight tight crack in the bottom rear area of the neck, with the rest of the decoy in reasonable shape considering the vintage and usage.•All in all still stands out as a classic working style decoy worth of being called a good collectable.•A diamond in the rough??•Can be picked up locally in the Orillia area.
