Antique gold filled Waltham pocket watch 15 jewels just serviced. Size 16, 50mm diameter not including the crown or bow. Grade Waltham traveller 620 .  Model 1899. Made in the year 1900 according to the Waltham Data Base.

The movement number is 10109132.  Recently stripped down and ultrasonically cleaned as in photo number 12 and oiled using moebius oil, the watch is running very well .The balance swings with good motion and a flat true action. It has a split bi-metallic balance with a blued steel Breguet overcoil hair spring with screwed in jewel settings, all signs of a high end movement. The watch is keeping excellent time within +/- 2 minutes a day, which is good considering it's almost 120 years old. Please note a mechanical watch will not keep time like a Quartz watch. The movement is nicely decorated with the barrel and train bridges damascened. With engine turned perlage on the pillar plate and  with all the black inlay paint intact.

The dial is single sunk glass enamel with roman numerals and red five minutes markers in the outer chapter with a sunk sub seconds dial at six o'clock It's slightly unusual in having the red markers, this is not commonly seen and adds character to the dial. There is a repair to the dial between the eight and nine markers as shown in photo's number two and three, in truth it is hardly noticeable in real life, but shows up in the high definition photo's, so I am mentioning it in honesty.

The hands are a matched set and are slim spade style in blued steel.

The case is a B&B Royal made by the Bates & Bacon company. It is a screw back and bezel type, both of which screw on and off and seat down tight just as they should. It is gold filled and was guaranteed to wear for 20 years. It has a smooth finish with a milled coin edge and a taut omega style bow that holds to positions. There is a shield on the back with initials that I can't make out.  It has only pocket wear on the case and no wear through that I can see. There is a bit of wear on the inside of the bow which is normal because of a watch chain. The watch is pendent set and wound. To set the time gently raise the crown, turn to set and push back in. The crown is still crisp and like new. The case has been cleaned but not polished.

Thank you for looking and good luck bidding.
