1692 Puritan & Huguenot Liturgy John Quick Gallia Reformata French Protestants

John Quick was a 17th-century Anglican preacher known for his Puritan sermons and association with French Huguenot refugees. Many of these refugees fled from French rule and landed in England near Plymouth. It was from these events that Quick wrote ‘Synodicon in Gallia Reformata’ – a collection of liturgical texts used by the Huguenots in late 17th-century England.

This volume from the 1692 first edition features an impressive double frontispiece: a portrait of Quick and a full-page view of the Synod gathering.
