Item Specifics:

This is a classic serving spoon of the Tipped pattern dating back to 1879. This spoon has certainly been around the block a few times and has the battle scars to show for it! That said it has considerable wear to the face, some pitting and scratches going on. On the back there is considerable plate wear with plenty of brass or discoloration showing. There are heavy scratches on the backside of the bowl as well as some plate loss to the heel of the handle.

This spoon has been lightly polished but would do well with a more detailed cleaning. The photos are pretty detailed especially when enlarged but please don’t hesitate to ask for more pictures if you need further detail.
