19th Century oil on panel signed Loire " Dans le parc "

Leon Henri Antoine Loire ( 1821 -1898 ) was a french painter, watercolourist and lithographer ; a student of David d'Angers and E Lassale, he first exhibited at the Salon in 1849.

One of his iconic paintings " Soldier standing in prayer " is displayed at Walters Art Museum, Baltimore.

One of his paintings " Les Jeunes Pecheuses  " was sold at auction for 4500 euros hammer price in 2012 and another " La Belle Jardiniere d'apres Raphael" for 7200 euros hammer price in 2007
