Dandelion Paperweight

The Dandelion Clock - the complete seed head captured in perfect symmetry before a gust of wind disperses the seeds.

Dandelion (taraxacum officinale) This rather mundane but beautiful plant has been used for many purposes. The roots dried and ground for coffee, the leaves included in salads, flowers for wine making and the leaves and roots for medicinal uses. The design is a supreme example of the care and patience required in its production and was awarded the Tarian Label by the Design Council. In the U.K. children are told that how ever many times they have to blow the seeds to disperse them all, then that is the time, hence "Dandelion Clock".

Incredible hand-made paperweights. Real flowers are encapsulated perfectly and permanently within a resin shell. Every detail is preserved in glorious detail.

Made by hand in Wales.

Most of the flowers and seedheads are grown naturally on the surrounding mountains or in the carefully tended gardens. Each specimen is hand picked then dried using a range of techniques designed to preserve their natural beauty. Next they are cast in clear resin (don't ask how we do it!) and then individually turned and polished to a superb finish.

Because of the nature of the product each paperweight is an original work of art with no two being identical making it an ideal gift and collectible.
