This rose red and blue glass shade was produced by Meyda Lighting of Yorkville, New York. 

The shade is made of cased glass with three layers.  The thin inside layer of variegated frosted glass is sandwiched between an interior layer of milk glass glass and the outside layer of pink and blue colored glass  The combination gives a quality to its translucence not generally seen in other shades.

Because these shades are "art glass" each shade has slight variations in appearance at the coloration transition point from blue to pink.  All shades offered in this listing are relatively uniform in coloration, size, and shape.

The shade is about 4 1/16" high and is 4 1/8" across at the opening.  The fitter has an actual outside diameter of 2".  Due to the thickness of the glass, the shade has a weight of about 1 pound.

This shade is free of chips, cracks, or repairs.  The fitter and opening on these shades are rough as a result of the manufacturing process and this condition is not to be considered a defect.
