Pilgrim Imports Company originated almost 30 years ago in a village outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Economic despair had forced close-knit families to separate…children went to work in Bangkok’s factories and tourist trades, and traditional village life generally deteriorated in the face of poverty.

Today, over 400 families now work together to produce the Christmas ornaments that customers love.  The work allows the artisans to earn a living wage:  one in which they can provide for their families and keep their village sustainable.  Each family unit makes one ornament design.  Each ornament takes between 4 – 5 hours to make start to finish.  They are beautifully finished on both sides.
