Vintage Metal Furnace Thermometer Made in USA

I am pleased to present for your viewing and potential bid a vintage metal furnace (assumed) thermometer (or for some other piece of vintage equipment).

Made in USA; manufacturer is unknown.

Measures about 10-1/4" high (with screw-in threads/piece) and 2-1/4" wide.

Scale goes from 40 to 280 degrees (marked numbers).

The thermometer is not working.
