In these times of concern for our planet, few subjects contain more meaningful lessons for us than evolution. It is estimated that nearly five million individual species of plants and animals have lived upon this earth. Yet, less than one in five exist today. The rest are gone forever. Many, far too many, have faced extinction at the hands of man. Dinosaurs ruled the earth for over 130 million years, but man may despoil it in a comparative wink of an eye. Even a light-hearted treatment of the subject serves to remind us of the awesome challenges we face in preserving our environment for future generations.
Tyranno Ex paints evolution in enjoyable, fast-paced strokes far removed from dreary textbooks. Players alternate selecting animals and guiding them through the rapidly passing millennia to survival or extinction by changing the environment to better suit their particular characteristics.
