30-hole half round drawplate has holes starting at 5.50mm down to 2.70mm Each hole is half round and highly polished.
30-hole oval drawplate has holes starting at 3.6mm down to 1.25mm Each hole is oval and highly polished.

"Durable, economical steel drawplates for reducing and shaping thickness of copper, brass, gold, silver or soft steel wire. Plates are hand-tooled . This triangle drawplate features 30 holes ranging in size from about 3.8x3.5mm down to 1.3x1.8mm.
8" drawtongs have 1" x 1/2" serrated jaws to provide an excellent grip when drawing wire. The properly shaped handles insure a good continuous hold.
Wire Drawing Tips
- Put the drawplate in a vise or support it well.
- File the end of the sire to a gradual point.
- Feed the point into the side of the plate with the numbers.
- Grip the point of the wire on the other side with draw tongs. Pull slowly.
- Draw the wire through successively smaller holes. When the wire feels tough and springy, anneal it and draw again.
- Light oil like wintergreen oil or olive oil can be rubbed on for lubrication.
