Fabulous Victorian Circa 1900 Meissen Enamel Flowers Porcelain Silver Pendant ! Hallmarked with the older double crossing blue swords indicating Meissen circa 1900, the the bale has a partial mark that seems to read 835 for 835/1000 silver, less than sterling which was a preferred due to being stronger. Weighs approximately 12 grams. The silver frame is approximately 4.9 cm (1  14.5/16 inches) in height, and approximately 4 cm (1  9/16 inches) in width. There is Meissen and then there is Meissen ! This is one of the highest quality ones I have yet encountered, how about you ? Judging by its superior high quality this would be an earlier Meissen pendant since they continued making them for a long time but the later versions are of much lower quality. Meissen is considered the most prestigious western porcelain company in history, so would make a lovely addition to any high quality collection and gift for anyone who still enjoys drinking tea or coffee from fine china !
