Vintage 1950's large brass art sculpture table lamp w/shade. Solid brass metal abstract organic sculpture on a black lacquered hexagonal wood base. Felted bottom. Original fiberglass shade on a steel frame and black lacquered finial. Replacement dimmer socket switch and vintage brass socket sleeve have been added...otherwise all original. Purchased from the original owner's kin. Designed by Yasha Heifetz. Incised mark on the backside of the base. Integrates well with Mid Century Modern and Art Deco design themes.

38-3/4"h (to the top of the finial), 21"h (to the bottom of the harp)
The shade is 15-1/4"h x 12"w (tapering out to 23"w) x 7"d (tapering out to 14"d)
The sculpture alone measures approximately 16-1/2"h x 11"w x 6"d.
The base measures 1-3/4"h x 9-1/2"w x 6"d
Condition is VERY GOOD. Unrestored vintage condition showing less than normal wear from age and previous use. This lamp has been well taken care of and preserved by the previous owners. Structurally sound. All original parts are in place and securely attached. The shade has a 5" tear on the side as well as a few other punctures; it has been left as is with no attempt to repair. There is corner wear to the shade where the material has been worn away exposing the painted white steel frame underneath. The brass sculpture has no loose welds, bends or misshapen parts (from abuse) that are not part of the original artist's creation. Cosmetically, there is some discoloration to the shade from age, a few stubborn but subtle stains, and the aforementioned tears and punctures. The brass has excellent patina and has aged well. There is tarnishing, some scratches, areas of black corrosion marks, and other variations associated with the aging of exposed brass. The wood finial and base have some scuffs, surface scratches, and a few areas of paint loss exposing the lighter wood (likely mahogany or oak) underneath. Sound electrical and in working condition with included incandescent bulb. Photos reveal more condition details. Clean.
