Mordechai Reichwarger (1913-1972) Jewish-Ukrainian Israeli Gouache (Rauchwerger)

Up for sale is original gouache painting by Jewish-Ukrainian artist Mordechai Reichwarger (1913-1972). It depicts a winter landscape with some ice fishing most probably on the Dnipro river near Kyiv. It is very well executed with high level of artistic skills.

The painting insight is measuring about 9" (23 cm) by 12" (31 cm), and the frame is measuring 15” (38 cm) by 18” (46 cm).

It is signed with monogram "MIR" by the artist in the right corner. 

This painting would be a very sound investment and a great addition to any collection.

                      Mordechai Reichwarger (1913-1972)

Mordechai Reichwarger was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine in 1913. He studied in Kharkiv Art Academy. In 1942 Reichwarger and his family where evacuated to Turkmenistan, where his son Jan Rauchwerger was born - now himself a famous Israeli artist. A year later after Ukraine's liberation from Nazis the family moved back settling in the new capital Kyiv. 
Mordechai Reichwarger has died in 1972 just few month after his Aliya in Israel.

Buyer pays cost of $37.50 shipping and handling for Continental US, $21.50 in Ontario and Quebec and $29.50 the rest of Canadian provinces.

 International shipping varies from $91.00 to $138.00 by Air mail to the most European countries. Please contact us for exact shipping cost to your country. 

If you are planning to reframe the painting and therefore don’t need the existing frame, please let us know, so we could un-frame the painting and see if the shipping cost can be reduced.

We are also trying to be cooperative with our customers in regards to theirs preferences in shipping issues.
