Noted painter and art critic's work is intended to help the painter capture images of commonly found animals and birds. With many illustrations by the author; as well as reproductions of famous paintings. --- In full blue cloth covers with titling in blue on cover & spine; publisher's navy top edge. Jacket with painting of waterfowl taking flight. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 136 pages.

Condition: Book Condition Very Good. Clean, bright and unmarked interior. Some bumping to spine and corners. Pages age toned, a few foxing spots to edges. Dust jacket unclipped at 10/6 lightly  chipped at Corners/ edges a little dust stained, otherwise very good. See Photos.

Our Opinion: Good quality first edition, this book provides a comprehensive guide to the depiction of animals and birds in art.

We conservatively grade each book in an honest and objective manner.

Mint/Fine: - Like new, No faults, appears unread.

Like New: - Appears unread, May have the slightest marks.

Very Good: - Clean condition with no significant faults. Will have a few minor defects.

Good: - Book condition reflects its age, will have some faults, foxing, bumping, scuffing, inscriptions etc

Acceptable: - Well read. Reading copy only. May have significant wear and tear, may have loose pages, plates missing, or external damage.
