Part numbers stamped on OE gears:
FYI: Many of the original gears, clutch dogs, and shafts will have part numbers stamped on them. Often times the numbers stamped on your original Forward Gear and Pinion, and sometimes Reverse Gear and Clutch Dog, are not relevant because these parts were sold in multiple piece sets using a different part number. All the OE part numbers we reference below are not necessarily stamped on your original parts. Please contact us if you need assistance.

Ratio:
Standard 2.42:1 - Pinion gear has 12 teeth, forward and reverse gear have 29 teeth: 12:29 - This is a common ratio for a large range of model years, do not assume this is the correct gear set based only on this ratio.
