Background
First I am not a collector of toy cars, trucks or other
related items. Also I am certainly not an expert on any of these items.
Almost all of the toy cars, trucks and related items,
which I will be listing on ebay were purchased from a good friend?s estate in
North Carolina. These items were displayed in an enclosed custom made cabinet.
The cabinets were in a temperature controlled non-smoking room. The cabinets
were equipped with sliding glass doors.
I am fairly confident that boxed items were purchased new
by the estate owner. Non-boxed items or loose items could have had multiple
owners.
Condition
Boxed items will have both the condition of the box and
the enclosed item described to the best of my ability. Any conditions issues
will be identified.
All items will be listed as USED. This in many cases only
indicates that the item was previously purchased. It is not meant to indicate
that the item was actually physically used/played with.
Factory sealed boxed items will not have the seal broken.
The car/truck item will be photographed in the sealed box. Boxes that are not sealed yet contain the original
factory packaging ex. Front/Back plastic insert, car encapsulated in plastic
will also not have the car removed from the box for photographing. Items in
boxes that are not sealed may have been taken out of the box so that the item
could be examined and then placed back in the box. Items in boxes were
displayed in the box. They were not displayed outside the box or were they ever
put into a ?played with service?. Boxed items almost without exception should
be in excellent condition. If that is not the case any condition issues will be
described.
Some of these items are more than 10 and 20 years old.
Even in a temperature controlled room you should expect some aging of the card
board box and any plastic window material (yellowing, creasing, other).
Not being the original owner even items in a factory sealed
box in excellent condition will not be listed as NRFB. The word MINT will also
not be used to describe an item. I feel MINT means the item is in exactly the
condition it was when it was first put on the original store shelf.
These items are not NEW.
In many cases, they are vintage items. I will do my best to get my
description accurate. Remember the item is NOT new or MINT.
NOTE
The photographs are a VERY important part of the items
description. Please carefully examine ALL the photographs and utilize the
available magnification feature that reveals additional small details in the
photographs.
Finally, two people may not see what the other one sees.
It is possible I might describe a condition different that you would describe
it. It is also possible in some cases we
would look at things differently. If you have doubts ask a question. If you
want an item that is MINT (which to me means the item is in the exact same
condition that it was in when it was
first put on the store shelf) the item I am selling may not be the right item
for you to purchase. Neither of us wants to have an item returned. Nobody WINS.
I want All Sales to be a WIN-WIN.
