The Cinevate CI-AD-NA-000007 72mm HD achromat is a macro lens for camcorders. The achromat is housed in a robust 72mm anodized ring. It is designed specifically for cameras like the DVX, HVX, HD100 and Sony HD cams.The optics are fully coated, front and rear and Achromats differ from "cheap" macros in that they are made of two types of glass, bonded together. Spherical and chromatic aberration levels are thus reduced far below levels found in low cost singlet macros.
Our testing shows a ~ 100 line increase in resolution over a popular 10+ macro. These achromats are outstanding quality, with flawless quality control, and a professional finish. For 72mm cams like the DVX, no step rings are required.
