This lovely little “sensu" fan was made by one of Kyoto’s renown fan makers. The struts are glossy black-lacquered bamboo. It is gold on one side and silver on the other. This is the type of fan is typically used for formal ceremonies. It is finely made and is in excellent condition with a vintage patina - see photos.

It measures a about 12” or 30cm across when open and is about 8" or 20cm long. See photos for other details - they show the front, back and closed view of the fan.
