These are a great affordable reprint of the original "The Story of 79th Armoured Division", my original copy has been signed by members of the 79th and so I kept those in the reprint. The book is slightly thinner, it has kept its original cheap style of printing with some pages being a little uneven and off centre. The only real change between this an an original, except the price are that its a little thinner and that the maps are no longer fold out, but spread over two pages. I even went as far as to get the cover 79th sticker reprinted and placed them on by hand, just like the original. The last photograph is of my original on the left and our reprint on the right.

The contents of this book are truly fantastic and I have had my head glued in this book absorbing the stories. Some of which go into some incredible detail. Even down as far as to the individual soldiers acts in places. It turned out that I have a dog-tag to a member of the 79th who's photograph appears in this book being awarded a medal by the American Forces for his role in using a Churchill Crocodile tank while supporting the American Infantry.

These will be on a limited print run, so grab them while you can. I have kept the price down low, I'm a collector offering these to fellow collectors either to read and study, or to save your original copy from the abuse a book takes when reading it. Currently the only original copy on EBay is £100! ouch! Glad I got mine when I did.

If you're fed up with FB making you sensor you posts, delete your comments, eradicate groups because 'they' don't like them, isn't it time to maybe get rid of THEM. At MilitaryHistory.Network they don't' delete posts, they don't delete groups, it's all about history, it's a place where adults can share information, discuss things, post photos and there is no need to sensor anything. It works like FB, is similar in use to FB, but just without the nonsense... lets let the children have FB, we can still use it to post photos of your dinner to share with your family. Keeping your militaria, re-enacting and military vehicles in a place where they belong...

Militaryhistory.network  hopefully we'll see you there
