Brief Description of Patent: A novel system designed for the protection of brewer's wort, from the effect of, and conatct with, the atmosphere, thereby ensuring its freedom from bacteria, which, by reason of their power of setting up an independent acetous ferment making the yeast fermentation fretful and uncertain. In addition to the system mentioned a system of using steam as a sterilizer, by forcing it through all the connected vessels. Condition: Slight crinkling.Wear to left hand edge where patent has been removed from the volume. This was sold by Manchester Library and has their stamp impression on some of the pages/drawings.
