Then why not convert them to digital MP4 files as the tapes are degrading so they can be shared easily and stored on your hard drive or in the cloud etc along with the video and photos you take with your phone today ?.

I can work with all formats SVHS / VHS / VHS-C / 8mm / Hi8 / Digital 8 / Mini DV.

I have a 3 step process once i have received your tapes.

1) Capture - using (VHS formats) Panasonic / JVC - SVHS equipment with TBC built in to create a stable picture. The Video signal is then fed through an additional external device to further stabilise the picture and then into an Avermedia CE310B video capture card at 720x576. The same additional device is used for 8mm formats. Mini DV is digital capture.

2) Edit - I then edit the captured file to remove head noise from the bottom of the picture and can adjust brightness and sharpness etc. An Mp4 file is then created as true to the original recording.

3) Share - each MP4 file is then shared back with a link for download. PLS NOTE: The link will only remain live for 7 days so please download within that timeframe.

DVD's can also be created if required at an extra £3 each. To request these please send me a message through eBay and I will send you an offer back. 

These DVD's will be posted to the address you provide for the return of your tapes along with your tapes. Please ensure that your packaging is substantial enough to retain your tapes during transit.

Ive not included return postage - if you do want your tapes returning please let me know, and I will ask you to send me a courier label via PDF (you can send this via email after the tapes are done and I will drop to your choice of courier (Royal Mail / UPS / My Hermes) or you can pay me separately for the return postage once the tapes are ready and I'll organise for you and send a receipt scan.

Though this is not my recording this is the same process I use and you can see the difference TBC makes to the original picture.

There are many ways to capture Video feed, and since 2003 I've tried many, from a USB device as well as a separate VCR/DVD combi unit however these will not account for issues with tape degradation or unstable pictures and they cannot edit the head noise out etc. It all depends on what end result and picture quality you are looking for.

Please select and purchase this service for the qty of tapes you require converting.

Please package up your tapes into a Box and send them (you will need to organise this yourself via UPS or myhermes etc) to my address which i will send back to you via eBay message once the transaction has been completed. If you live locally you are also welcome to drop them off and collect once completed too. For very large orders (50+) I am willing to offer a personal collection and return service too provided the cost of fuel is covered.

Pls let me know if you want your tapes back or if you want DVD's also.

I will then capture the tapes and edit the files and upload them as MP4 files to you the link remains live for 7 days - however I will keep the MP4 files for 1 month and then they will be deleted.
