Cabbage Patch Kids, formerly known as The Little People, were the gift every child had on their Christmas list in the 1980s, generating $2 billion in retail sales for 1984 alone. They've had various incarnations over the years, but the rarest and most coveted examples are the soft, plush dolls of the early 1980s. Xavier Roberts Little People Original Cabbage Patch Kid Soft face 1983-1984 24". You don't want to miss adding this doll to your Cabbage patch Doll collection. Dusty Blonde hair blue eyed soft sculpture boy. He is one of the Original Cabbage Patch dolls from 1983. Tag has 1983 as the most current date. There is Blush on the tush, cheeks, Stomach knees and arms - This is a feature the newer Cabbage patch dolls do not have. Plush is approx. 21” inches tall (hair to feet)- that's 8 inches taller than regular newer dolls. Plush appears to have Xaviar Roberts's signature in pen on his back end. I believe this was hand signed by Xavier Roberts himself as the early soft sculptures were, although I am not an expert. Plush has care instructions and cleaning on the tag, I have not tried cleaning this plush, it was stored for many years, plush may be cleaned if you try. The signature appears to be made in pen however it has faded as seen in the photos. This is an incredibly rare plush made before the Coleco craze!
