This is a nice, original printing of The Physical Atlas A Series of Maps and Notes Illustrating The Geographical Distribution of Natural Phenomena by Alexander Keith Johnston, Geographer at Edinburgh in Ordinary to Her Majesty, Honorary Member of the Geological Society of Berlin, Editor of the National Atlas.
Based off the Physikalischer Atlas of Professor H. Berghaus with the co-operation of their Several Departments of Sir David Brewster, Professor J.D. Forbes, Edward Forbes and J.P. Nichol, G.R. Waterhouse and J. Scott Russel and Dr. Gustav Kombst.

Book measures 14.5 x 22" and contains 30 maps.
Front cover and front end page detached, rubbing wear to covers, backing of spine missing. Title page, dedication page and Preface are also loose. Maps are in very good + condition. A few maps are coming separated from the binding, but are in good condition. There is some minimal foxing on some maps. Sold as is but a remarkable item !!
