Our latest design improves on the original Dual cartridge holder and is manufactured from a very smooth, strong, and high quality plastic without any dimples, deformities, and warps. We simplified the shell design by reducing the length of the side walls. This makes mounting a cartridge much easier and gives a nice slim look. The TK-22 also easily accommodates wide body cartridges (e.g. Ortofon 2M and others). The TK-22 cartridge holder is a perfect fit.
The gold plated spring-loaded contact pins and hand-soldered wire leads provide an excellent audio signal. The pins mate perfectly and their high quality craftsmanship contributes directly to a consistent high quality output.
We've also improved on Dual's crimped connection wiring which weakens over time and becomes contaminated by electrical oxidation. Our design features high quality multi-strand silver coated wires and all connections are hand soldered.
We also use strong round connectors with a slight split that make full, solid contact and can easily adjust to fit any diameter pin. The premium brass underside liner provides the perfect ground and doesn't add unnecessary weight or bulk.
