The bus is a London Country Bus Services Ltd, 1970 Metro Cammel bodied, 'Pay as You Enter' AEC Swift, Registration plate DPD499J, fleet number SM499, destination board 'Martins Wood & Bus Station', and seen here on the Superbus route SB3. Although the building in the background remains today, Stevenage bus station and it's surrounding area has been so extensively redeveloped since this photograph was taken that it is barely recognisable today.
