CONDITION

Generally in a good vintage condition but with signs of ageing and wear on the covers.

Inside:
Good. Pages have lightly tanned. Text and illustrations are clear. No handwriting. Small bookbinder label on the rear pastedown. Binding is tight (but see below). A few small spots and smudges around occasional page margins, and some faint stains around the book edges, but readability is unaffected.

Buyers please note:
- Hinges have cracked, and binding has eased in a few places, with webbing exposed. However, stitching remains tight, with all pages firmly attached and intact.
- Staining/watermarking on inside covers and endpapers, seen around the spine and lower edges. Faint staining on the lower edge of the text block. Content is otherwise unaffected.
Covers:
Stable. Titles and illustrations are clear but lightly scuffed on front. Corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Some rubbing and light soiling around the board edges, commensurate with general handling and shelf-wear.

Buyers please note:
- Several small stains on front and around the tail of the spine. Larger patch of staining on the rear. All presumably caused by spillage/water marking.
- Sunning and light soiling on the spine.
- Small tears and fraying on the spine ends.
- Middle of the spine is rubbed and stained, causing the spine illustration to be partially obscured.
- Boards are exposed on the corners.
