Warranty Information
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that problems might appear with the fuel tanks 5049016 and 5049017 for Opel Kadett Van / Estate car. The tanks might crack in the bottom for the following reason:From the tank an air pipe is leading to a charcoal filter next to the right front wing. When the filter becomes clogged up, a vacuum arises in the tank with the effect that the bottom is ”sucked in”. Loosening the tank lid, the vacuum is let off and the bottom ”falls down” again. When this happens several times the bottom will crack. To avoid this the charcoal filter must be replaced.Claims will not be accepted for the above tanks with this problem
