"Du" is an internationally renowned cultural magazine based in Zurich in Switzerland. The magazine deals with issues of art history, general cultural developments as well as political content. The magazine was founded by Arnold Kübler and was first published in March 1941 by the Zurich publisher Conzett & Huber under the name Swiss monthly. In 1964, under the editor-in-chief Manuel Gasser (1957-1974), she merged with the magazine Atlantis, which had been in existence since 1929. First as an art magazine, then as a cultural magazine, it has been perceived over the decades as a very high quality medium within the German-speaking cultural landscape. Since the beginning in 1941, the magazine's authors and contributors have included artists, thinkers and politicians from all over the world, including the names of Carl G. Jung, Hilde Spiel, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Golo Mann and Jean Ziegler. Many famous photographers have contributed to the magazine such as René Burri, Werner Bischof, Herbert List, Bruce Davidson, and many others.
