The innovative finish, namely the mercerising of the wool, makes the yarn permanently machine washable, extra soft and comfortable to wear. Until now, mercerizing was mostly only known for cotton. In the case of wool, this means the removal of the cuticle layer of the wool fiber, which improves the light reflection and the feel. The yarn appears silky, shinier and softer, makes it comfortable to wear and is also permanently machine washable. The running length and knitting gauge were chosen so that all existing designs made from Regia 4-ply can also be knitted with "My first Regia" without any problems.
