My 3D printed adjustable dual return pipe for the Red Sea MAX S Series of tanks allows you to split the return flow from the standard stock return pipe The addition of two injection moulded fully adjustable pipes in conjunction with duckbill flared nozzles on each end provides wide flow within the tank. Each arm of the return pipe allows you to direct the return flow where it is needed for better health of the ecosystem. Key benefits of this modification are running higher flow rates through this dual nozzle replacement and also stopping your sand bed from being blown around in the tank. Installation is simple just slide this into the stock return pipe. My 3D printed dual return pipe is the strongest available, printed using PLA+ this is several times tougher than PLA and PETG. Then each part is annealed, annealing plastic involves gently reheating the substance to a point above its glass transition temperature, but below its melting temperature, and then slowly allowing it to cool. Like the annealing of metal, this reheating and cooling increases the amount of crystalline structures in the plastic. Both of these things, in turn, makes the plastic stronger, stiffer and more resistant to the stresses that cause failure.
