Preparation and Application
Prior to application, prepare the surface to which the profile will be applied
This should be clean and dry and dust free
If the surface is powder coated or smooth in texture (painted), this will need to be “scuffed” to ensure maximum adhesion
Upon initial contact, this profile can be removed carefully and repositioned if required
The optimal curing time of the 3M tape to the applied surface is 7 days
This allows the properties of the adhesive tape to “wet in’ to the surface and bind securely
