Exact functional replacement for DS1650Y used in Tektronix Applications, no slower than 55ns.

Does not support partitions, but TEK didn't use that feature in their applications anyway.

Comes with socket and DS1650Y replacement chip. (I use one blank PCB to populate multiple different builds. The blank PCB says "1486" even though the assembled part is populated for a DS1650Y.)

Replacement chip installed in socket is 0.65" tall.
Replacement chip soldered directly into your board is 0.50" tall.
Check your application to verify fitment and remember the battery is exposed on the top so 0.5" tall does not mean you can get away with 0.5" clearance between your PCB and the object installed over your PCB.

If you let me know your Tektronix product, I may be able to pre-program these for you. They are programmed with TDS784D data by default.

I have the files to program most TDS700x and TDS600x scopes including TDS520C, TDS520D, TDS620B, TDS640A, TDS644B, TDS654C, TDS680B, TDS684A, TDS684B, TDS684C, TDS694C, TDS744A, TDS754A, TDS784A, TDS754C, TDS784C,  TDS754D, TDS784D, and TDS794D. These files were taken from 100% working ok scopes and not downloaded from the internet.
If your scope is not in the list you can message me to see what I can do for you. If you send me your good file, I can load it in.

Benefits vs old DS1650Y:
1) Battery easily replaceable.
2) Installed Battery can be larger than the original 3V 120mAh, BR1632. (Installed battery is 137mAh)
3) Battery voltage easily measurable.
4) Battery not installed until part is ordered.
5) No more worries about Counterfeit parts from shady sources.
6) This part is not obsolete with no replacement like the original.
7) Date codes for other DS1650Y's for sale on ebay are more than 10 years old.

You can kludge/bodge your existing DS1650Y provided only the battery has failed.  It’s not too hard to look around and find videos/pictures of how to do it.
Drill in exactly the right place...solder...glue, etc.
Pretty messy if you ask me and the exact definition of a bodge.
And if you’re lucky you won't break a pin off the DS1650Y when you’re pulling it out for re-work, which would mean game over on that DS1650Y.

These parts were created after I received a batch of 10 DS1486 from an eBay seller and later determined all 10 parts were bad.
The parts even had a date code of 2015 when the seller’s picture clearly showed a 2009 date code.
I attempted to return those parts but the seller refused to provide the return to China shipping label and I had to eat the cost of those parts and shipping.
So now my rotten experience results in a good solution for those honest eBay buyers.

I am not accepting large quantity orders on this part.  It’s only available to those hobbyist who really need the parts.

You will have to carefully unsolder your DS1650Y, then solder in the socket I provide, then insert the replacement part in the socket. If you have never unsoldered or soldered parts before, I would NOT recommend trying this for the first time on your Tektronix processor board.

Up to 5 days handing time on this item. That will give me enough time to build and test your part before shipment. Typical handling time is between 1 and 2 days.
