A distinctive and highly texturized vintage lamp base updated with a marble base inclusion, a heavy-duty harp, an adjustable riser assembly and a new wire set with an installed control switch.  The lamp comes with a plain antiqued vase cap and round finial.  Clearance for a light bulb is approximately 3 inches in height.  Candelabra LED bulb and socket base adapter depicted are not included with this purchase.

The lamp base is assembled using both vintage and contemporary parts.  Depending on the source and use of components, patina and other variables, colors and details may vary from those in pictures and near-substitute parts may need to be used.  Please ask all questions before purchase.

If you're looking for a table or a desk lamp with dramatic personality and unique flair, you can't go wrong with this lamp.  I have given it a cursory cleaning and leave the rest to the buyer's discretion.

I made the art glass shade in my glass blowing studio in late 2020 for the new 2021 season.  It is the only one of its kind, a process called "A Singular Design."  I acquired this lamp base with a handsome hoard of lamps and period parts from established antiquities dealers over the years for my lighting business. I am saddened by the lamp's departure but also delighted it may be lovingly received and put to good service by new caretakers.  This listing is for a genuine artifact of a bygone era partnered with a unique contemporary shade that will be a pleasure to welcome into a new home.
