DATE PRINTED: c.1815.  

SIZE: The printed area including titles is approximately 24.5 x 19.5 cm, 9.75 x 7.75 inches (medium) plus margins. 

PROVENANCE:  This antique map was published in 'Barclay's English Dictionary With Which is incorporated A Complete Modern Gazetteer...' Published in Leeds.  Engraved for A.Cumming's Superior Edition of Barclay's Dictionary. A scarce map and edition of which I have been unable to locate any other examples.

ARTIST/ENGRAVER: Drawn and engraved by T. Clerk, Edinburgh. Thomas Clerk was a Scottish engraver. He is best known for engraving maps and plans of Scottish towns between 1810 and 1830.  Published by A. Cumming, Leeds.

TYPE: Antique copper plate engraving printed on paper.

VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank.

CONDITION: Good. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase. Virtually all antiquarian maps and prints are subject to some normal aging due to use and time which is not significant unless otherwise stated.
