RETURNS

X-Mods UK provides a near limitless opportunity to build your own personalised custom controller individual to you. For a completely bespoke gaming accessory, our build your own option allows you to personalise and customise every aspect of your controller with thousands of possible combinations.

Warranty

All of our controllers are earmarked as custom products, including our pre designed controllers. While yes they do have a set design, that does not indicate that they are not custom. Our custom controllers are not covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as they are by definition, a custom product. This means that you will get a 6 month warranty that has been set by us. You have the option to upgrade to 12 months if you so wish.

Returning a Faulty Item for Repair (Within 14 Days)

Please open an eBay return to start return process. Your item must be sent back within 14 days of delivery. A small number of orders may have faults despite our rigorous testing. If you wish to use your own courier, you can at your own cost but we cannot be responsible for it being lost or damaged in transit.

You must make the fault clear when contacting us as this is what your return will be assessed against. We welcome the use of photography or video to illustrate faults.

The item must be in its original packaging with no signs of damage or tampering with the exception of the agreed fault. Our controllers are sent with a warranty sticker and this must remain in-tact.

If you wish to send your controller for repair, sending your controller in its original packaging is not necessary though please ensure it is securely wrapped to avoid damage in transit.

If any returned items are shown to have signs of damage or tampering caused by the customer, the return will be refused and there will be a charge of £10 for us to return the item to you plus any delivery costs as currently calculated at checkout. This also applies where the fault has not existed in an attempt to return the item free of postage, where double the amount of postage will be charged to cover both the fraudulent attempt and return postage.

Damage and tampering include but is not limited to:- the controller be opened in any way, screws being removed, dirt or foreign materials clogging or breaking buttons, water damage, accidental or intentional damage through dropping the controller or unreasonable force.

International Returns

In addition to the terms and conditions on this page, additional policies are in place for international returns (any returns outside of the UK).

If an item has been returned as faulty and is found not to be faulty, in an attempt to exploit the free returns label, the return will be refused. For the item to be returned to you, you will need to pay for 2 lots of postage costs plus a £10 handling fee to account for the free postage fraudulently obtained. Postage is at our current rate.

Royal Mail do not currently allow us to offer an international returns label. Because of this, we may have to ask you to post the item back at your expense for which we will refund you upon proof of postage. This is because we do not have access to all international postage facilities or your schedule for collection/drop-off availability. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Postage will be refunded up to a maximum cost of our original shipping rates for your country.

Standard Warranty (Custom Controllers Only)

We offer a 3 month warranty for all custom controllers. If your controller develops a fault within 3 months of your purchase date that is not the result of an accident or tampering or excessive use or damage by customer we will fix or replace your controller. Warranty only covers internal parts, not custom shells, buttons or thumbsticks that have been tarnished via use.

X-Mods UK will fix your controller where possible. In the event the controller can not be fixed, a replacement will be offered. If a replacement can not be offered due to a part being discontinued or unavailable, we will offer a comparable alternative. No refunds will be given under standard warranty. Shells, casings or graphics are not included in warranty though we may be able to swap these (if in stock) for a fee.

To claim on your warranty, please use the returns form. You will need proof of purchase (i.e. our confirmation email). When sending your product back to us, we highly recommend using a tracked and fully insured service. We cannot be held liable for items lost or damaged in transit. Postage costs are non-refundable.

You MUST include the provided returns form inside the parcel for the return to be processed.

As we will be returning your original controller after repair, it is not necessary to send us the controller in its original packaging but you may do so if you wish. We do however recommend wrapping the controller securely to ensure it is not damaged in transit. If any returned items are shown to have signs of damage or tampering caused by the customer, the return will be refused and there will be a charge of £10 for us to return the item to you to cover shipping and handling.

Extended Warranty (Custom Controllers Only)

X-Mods UK offer a paid-for Extended Warranty option. Extended Warranty grants the customer 12 months warranty from the date of purchase on a controller. The warranty must be bought at the same time as the controller in question and is non-transferable. Warranty only covers internal parts, not custom shells, buttons or thumbsticks that have been tarnished via use.

Refunds

Within the first 14 days of receiving your parcel, you can return your product for a full refund, whether it’s faulty or not.

SHIPPING

Dispatch / Build Time & Delivery (International Shipping)

Standard build time is between 1-3 working days (Monday-Friday) of your order.

Please note that international orders are subject to import tax and customs charges. These charges are not set by us, they are set by your countries government. This will be required to be paid before your delivery can be made. Again, these charges are not set by us and we are unaware of the cost of them but are included by eBay when purchasing.

We ship parcels worldwide using Royal Mail. This is fully tracked and you will be sent an email and a text with your tracking number and you can easily see where your parcel is. All international parcels aim to be delivered within 5-7 working days of dispatch. However we have experienced shorter turnarounds.

During busier periods, such as Christmas, our delivery partners may experience delays that are out of our control. Due to this, we are unfortunately unable to guarantee delivery dates at this time. If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us prior to ordering.

Delivery timescales are ‘aim’s only. We, unfortunately, cannot guarantee any delivery timescales as these are out of our control.

P.O Box/Military Base/Other Restricted Access Sites

Due to reasons out of our control, we are unable to deliver to any P.O. Boxes, either within the UK or International. Our couriers have advised us that they are unable to deliver to these as they need a physical address to deliver too.

We are able to deliver to Military Bases, providing they have a dedicated mail room and not operating under a P.O Box

If your delivery address has restricted access or needs to be accessed in a specific way, please let us know when placing your order by emailing aftercare@x-mods.co.uk as we will be able to update the courier to meet your specific needs.

Incorrect Shipping Address

We can unfortunately not be liable for sending items to an address that has been incorrectly provided. If you believe you’ve given us an incorrect address, please message us via eBay’s messages immediately.

Once items are dispatched they are in the control of the courier. Refunds or replacements will not be given when customers have provided an incorrect delivery address nor are X-Mods UK responsible for locating the lost item.

If an item is returned to us due to an incorrect address, there will be a charge to return the item to you to cover both our time in administrating the return and further shipping costs. Our administration costs are £10.00 per item and the shipping costs are calculated as are advertised at checkout at the current time.

All returns/repairs will also be sent back to your original postage address unless agreed otherwise so please state if this has changed.

Missed Deliveries

If Royal Mail try to deliver and you’re not in or refuse the parcel, it will be taken to your local delivery office. More information on arranging redelivery can found here: https://www.royalmail.com/receiving-mail/redelivery

If you do not collect your parcel within Royal Mail’s time frame, then RM will return the item to us. Once your item has been received by us we will refund you for your item minus any fees such as postage costs, dispatch costs and restocking fees. Please see our returns policy for more information on charges and terms. Should you still require your item additional postage will be required prior to dispatch, charged at the current rate.

For all other couriers than Royal Mail, please see their website for information on missed deliveries. Most will post a card with reference through your door or you can use the tracking information provided by us.

Missed Deliveries International

For international deliveries, you will receive an email from Royal Mail, as well as a text, to organise a redelivery attempt. This will be accessible up to two (2) times. After these attempts, the parcel will be returned to us. The customer will then need to pay for re-delivery.

There will be a charge to return the item to you to cover both our time in administrating the return as well as shipping costs. Our administration costs are £10.00 per item and the shipping costs are calculated as are advertised at checkout at the current time.

Increase in Dispatch and Delivery During Busy Periods

Please be aware that during busy periods, such as Christmas, Bank Holidays, sales and postage strikes there may be an increase in both dispatch and delivery timescales.

November and December are notoriously busy for couriers worldwide due to the holidays celebrated such as Christmas, and as such we publish ‘cut-off’ times for guaranteed delivery by Christmas each year. We also advise that there can be severe delays in delivery due to the high volume with couriers.

We will be shipping out parcels as close to Christmas as we possibly can, however if they are past the guaranteed delivery date, then we cannot guarantee that they will arrive in time for Christmas. If you are order past the guaranteed date, then please do so at your own risk as X-Mods UK will not be liable for your order not arriving in time.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Interpretation and Definitions

Placing Orders for Goods

Prices Policy

The Company reserves the right to revise its prices at any time prior to accepting an Order.

The prices quoted may be revised by the Company subsequent to accepting an Order in the event of any occurrence affecting delivery caused by government action, variation in customs duties, increased shipping charges, higher foreign exchange costs and any other matter beyond the control of the Company. In that event, You will have the right to cancel Your Order.

Payments

All Goods purchased are subject to a one-time payment. Payment can be made through various payment methods we have available, such as Visa, MasterCard, Affinity Card, American Express cards or online payment methods (PayPal, for example).

Payment cards (credit cards or debit cards) are subject to validation checks and authorization by Your card issuer. If we do not receive the required authorization, We will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of Your Order.

Limitation of Liability

Notwithstanding any damages that You might incur, the entire liability of the Company and any of its suppliers under any provision of this Terms and Your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing shall be limited to the amount actually paid by You through the Service or 100 USD if You haven’t purchased anything through the Service.
