Up for sale are a pair of softcover auction catalogs from the 1930 sale of the estate of Louisine Havemeyer ("Mrs. H.O. Havemeyer" as she's referred to in the catalogs).  These catalogs measure 10.5" X 7.25"; part II is 110 pages in length with 626 lots while part III is 249 pages in length with 1486 lots (1231 are Japanese art, 255 are Chinese art).  Both catalogs include some black & white photos, but the majority of items were not photographed for the catalogs.  As you can see from the photos, both books have library stickers, stamps, and writing to the front covers (I did not notice any library-related markings to the interior pages).  Additionally, there is quite a lot of cosmetic wear, including heavily tanned wraps, general edge and corner wear, and rather heavy wear to the spines.  There are also edge chips and some scattered stains to the exterior.  Several interior pages have some tears and stains, but I did not see any writing.  Overall, the catalogs are still a solid source for reference, but they are somewhat fragile and need to be handled with care.  Please be sure to fully enlarge the provided photos, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
