PURPLE HAZE


Purple Haze is a very beautiful Sempervivum which has mauve grey pointed leaves which develop an intense pink purple flush on the innermost leaves through Spring, Summer and Autumn. The colours change in intensity and shading throughout the seasons and with the age of the plant, as shown in photos. It grows as a flat rosette with many pointed leaves. It is a colourful, yet small and compact plant. It is suitable for pots, vertical gardens, rock gardens and mixed succulent displays. 

Grows to approximately 10cm wide and 2.5cm high.

Offer is for 1 established rooted plant approximately 8cm across. Specimens are of top quality. Plants are sent bare rooted and are wrapped carefully.


CULTURE NOTES
Prefers part sun/shade and well drained soil.

Remove old leaves to keep plant mostly dry except when in rapid growth phases. (Spring/Summer)

Protect from frost and excess moisture in Winter.

Propagated from offsets.

Note: Sempervivums change very much through the seasons, and are most colourful in warmer months. They hibernate in Winter and shrink about 30% and change colour dramatically. Do not water more than once per month in cold seasons as they are dormant.
