BLM, Hite Crossing, Utah (Surface Management Status), metric topographic map

Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  Different color tints show land management: Yellow for BLM, violet for National Park Service, green for National Forest, blue for State Lands, and untinted white for private lands.  Shows rivers, streams, creeks, washes, springs, and lakes.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (with state highways numbered).  Shows landing strips, mines, recreation sites, and more.

About the only community that is within the area of the map is Hite.  The largest part of the region is undesignated BLM land, with several square miles of BLM administered Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument just making it on to the map at left.  The middle of the map is dominated by Glen Canyon National Recreation Area from Bullfrog Bay to Cataract Canyon, and adjacent to it is the southern end of Capitol Reef National Park.  About half of Natural Bridges National Monument is covered, and a few square miles of Dark Canyon Wilderness (part of Manti La Sal National Forest) on the right border.  Major highways shown are state 276, state 263, and state 95.  The map is divided between Garfield, San Juan, and Kane Counties.

Major physical features include Lake Powell within Glen Canyon, Henry Mountains, Grand Gulch, Waterpocket Fold, Cane Spring Desert, Cedar Canyon, Red Rock Plateau, White Canyon, and Dark Canyon.
