USGS, St. George, Utah Arizona metric topographic series

Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  A solid green tint shows the extent of woodlands, green dots show orchards and brushy areas.  A brown pattern shows sandy areas, a brown tint shows extensive lava beds.  Shows lakes, rivers, creeks, washes, springs, and wells.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (but only US and state highways are numbered).  Shows major power lines, mines, gaging stations, campgrounds, landing strips and more.

Cities, towns, and communities shown on the map include Motoqua, Gunlock, Shivwits, Veyo, Central, Pine Valley, New Harmony, Pintura, Ivins, Santa Clara, St. George, Middleton, Bloomington, Atkinville, Washington, Harrisburg, Leeds, Toquerville, La Verkin, Hurricane, Virgin, Grafton, Rockville, and Springdale.  The region includes a section of Dixie National Forest, the west side of Zion National Park, and Snow Canyon State Park.  Almost the entire area is within Washington County, Utah, with the upper right corner in Utah's Iron County; the reference on the title to Arizona is to a hairline width border strip.
