Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  Color tints show surface management status, i.e. the managing government agencies of public lands:  Indian reservations are shown in orange, state lands in blue, BLM in yellow, military reservations in pink, state parks and National Monuments in dark blue and purple; private lands are untinted.  Shows creeks, washes, springs, lakes and tanks (stock ponds).  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (with US and state highways and Indian reservation roads numbered).  Shows major power lines, mine shafts, mines and quarries, and gravel pits; campgrounds and more.

The cities, towns, and smaller communities shown on the map include Stanfield, Casa Grande, Arizola, Coolidge, Randolph, Toltec, Arizona City, Eloy, Picacho, Vaiva Vo, Chichu, Tat Momoli, North Komelik, Friendly Corners, Cactus Forest, and Red Rock.  Major highways depicted are Interstate 10 and Interstate 8, state 93, state 84, state 287, state 87, and US 89.  A portion of the Tohono O'odham Nation (Papago Indian Reservation) covers the lower left corner of the map, smaller portions of Ak Chin and Gila River Indian Reservations are in the upper left corner, and most of the right side is covered by state and BLM lands.  Also shows Casa Grande Mountain Park, Picacho Peak State Park, and a part of Casa Grande National Monument.

Physical features shown include Sacaton Mountains, Tat Momoli Mountains, Solo Peak, Silver Reef Mountains, Slate Mountains, Sawtooth Mountains, Santa Cruz Flats, Picacho Reservoir, Picacho Mountains, Middle Mountain, Ninetysix Hills, Durham Hills, and Tortolita Mountains.  Almost all of the region is within Pinal County, with just a slim section along the bottom in Pima County.
