String that holds cover is intact and strong but is frayed (see pictures 5 and 6). All of our items are packed with great care to ensure safe delivery. D E S C R I P T I O N This is a very pretty vintage wood and wicker sewing basket made in mid-century U.S.A. It is 11" long and wide and 6½" tall. The contents of the basket are included (numerous spools of thread and a strawberry pin cushion). This is a beautiful example of this classic mid-century sewing basket. It features a square design with lovely light green wicker body with matching wooden cover and bottom. There are two lovely floral decals, one on the cover and the other on the inside bottom. Both decals are in great condition with very little wear to speak of. There is a shelf on the inisde for 6 spools of thread. There are a few scuffs here and there and some minor age wear. There is some movement / bulging of the wicker but nothing major (see photos).The basket is nice and solid and is super clean inside and out. The string that holds the cover is intact and strong but is frayed (see pictures 5 and 6). This very attractive quatliy vintage sewing basket is a wonderful way to store your sewing accessories.
