AN EXCELLENT COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION OF THIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF NORMAN ROCKWELL, AMERICA'S FOREMOST ARTIST AND ILLUSTRATOR.

The author attribution is qualified as, "..As Told to Thomas Rockwell".  FIRST EDITION stated, published by Doubleday & Company in 1960.  As found, the dust jacket was preserved in an old-style mylar jacket with red borders.  The original dust jacket was removed from that mylar jacket to show edges with no tears or chips, but with an outlined darkened area behind the jacket showing the border of the old dust jacket - see listing photo of the back of the dust jacket.  This original dust jacket is now handsomely portrayed in a new mylar jacket.  It is price-clipped.  Boards are pristine with the faintest amount of wear and lightening of color around the edges.  Very solidly bound, no interior marks in 436 clean and solidly bound pages followed by a "Portfolio" of color and B&W photos.  There is an interior section of plates also, and some within text images.
