This is a high quality multi-directional barcode scanner, from world leaders, Motorola / Symbol (now Zebra). The model is the DS4801-SR, guaranteed to work perfectly and in GOOD lightly used condition. The scanner is USB plug and play and will read all types of codes, using image capture over a wide area centred on a red aiming dot (picture). The scanner reads the following at lightning speed : All normal barcodes, (UPC, EAN,code 39, code 128 etc....) plus all types of 2-D barcodes (QR code, Datamatrix etc.) such as the examples in the picture above. 

The scanner will read hands - free and automatically in its stand by moving the target barcode in front of the scanner from any direction, or the scanner is light and easy enough to pick up and move towards the target on more awkward items, using an illuminated trigger surface on top of the scanner to scan. Ideal as a general purpose desktop scanner or as an impressive check out scanner with a stylish black finish.  

The scanner works instantly at any orientation to the target and works straight out of the box without special software, drivers or separate power supply.
