SIZE: The printed area including titles is approximately 15 x 11 cm (6 x 4.25 inches) plus wide margins with a blank back (medium).   

ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: From an original study by Birket Foster. Myles Birket Foster (4 February 1825 – 27 March 1899) was a popular English illustrator, watercolour artist and engraver in the Victorian period. His name is also to be found as Myles Birkett Foster. Myles Birket Foster was born into a prosperous family in North Shields on 4 February 1825, the fifth son of his parents.  His tours at home were recorded in Lithographs in 'Some places of Note in England' in 1888.

PROVENANCE:  Published in "Some Places of Note in England A Series of Twenty-Five Drawings with Short Descriptions By the Artist.". London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle and Rivington, 1888. 

TYPE: Antique lithograph printed on paper. 

VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank.
