These shabby chic paperweights use the magic of light dancing on glass to enhance pretty blue hydrangea or blue bird on an ivory and gold background. These unique paperweights have been hand-crafted with double decoupage, first with reverse decoupage techniques to show the composed picture through the glass, and a second time to form the backing. Both layers of decoupage are separated by several layers of paint. Rice paper and paper napkins have been used for the main picture and a lovely handmade paper in cream and antique gold has been used for the back and then varnished several times.
