What is Rosemary?

Rosemary has a long history of both culinary and medicinal use. It grows in bushes with wood-like stems and short, pine-like needles, and the plant features white, pink, purple, or blue flowers. Although it resembles pine in both appearance and scent, Rosemary is actually a member of the botanical family Lamiaceae along with Sage and Mint. Rosemary is a perennial evergreen that is often grown as an ornamental shrub because of its ability to withstand harsh conditions.

Where does Rosemary Come From?

Our Rosemary is sourced from Morocco. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a small evergreen plant of the Mint family (Lamiaceae), the leaves of which are used to flavour foods. Native to the Mediterranean region, Rosemary has naturalized throughout much of Europe and is widely grown in gardens in warm climates.

Rosemary is a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which are thought to help boost the immune system and improve blood circulation. Laboratory studies have shown Rosemary to be rich in antioxidants, which play an important role in neutralizing harmful particles called free radicals. In Europe, Rosemary is often used to help treat indigestion.

We use Royal Mail and Fedex to deliver all our orders. Orders 4kg or under will be delivered by Royal Mail 48 or Royal Mail 48 Tracked. All orders over 4kg will be delivered by Fedex Next Day courier service. All orders are processed within 1 working day and will usually be delivered within 2-3 days after an order is placed. Express delivery options are available and can be requested during eBay checkout. Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery, especially during busy periods and if you have not received your order, please contact our support team who will be able to track your order or resend it if required.
