Aluminium Oxide : 

Suitable for general sanding and grinding most types of wood and metal

Zirconium : 

Recommended for high stock removal. Great for grinding, surface polishing and deburring of forgings and castings. Provides a fast cut on stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloy, and tool steel. Tougher and longer lasting than Aluminium Oxide grain

Ceramic : 

The ceramic grain continuously fractures during use providing a consistent sharp cut. Very popular with metal finishers - It is great for heavy stock removal, grinding, surface polishing and deburring of forgings and castings.   A superior cut and will last longer than a standard Zirconia belt. Can be used on stainless steel, aluminium, nickel alloy and tool steel.

SCM (Surface Conditioning Material) : 

These belts are ideal where minimal or no stock removal is required and can be used for blending, cleaning, de-burring, finishing, re-graining and refining of metal surfaces.
