Vintage Sterling Silver Antique Engraved Wallet Purse Wristlet Chain Compact Case

This beautiful Wallet Purse measures almost 3.5 inches by about 2 3/8 inches. It is marked JEB Co. which is the J.E. Blake Co. that was in operation from 1889-1936. It is also marked 'Sterling 1227'. Inside the inner compartment it is marked '9 CT'. The inside of the wallet is gold colored, so maybe that is the carat of the gold? The lid to the inner compartment is marked 'Pat Applied for'. The coin holders have a nice spring to them when you press on them. The money clip is tight and works. That clip is where you will find markings mentioned earlier. The clasp that holds the wallet closed works well. It is monogrammed. The drop for the chain is almost 5.5 inches. There are a few dings from use and a nice patina from the tarnish. Very nice piece in my opinion.
On my postal scale, it weighs 84 grams or 2.9 ounces.
